Holliwood, a.k.a. Akortey Addy is the youngest member of 5-6 Famalia. He is only 18 years old, but you would never guess judging by the level of his lyrical content. He possesses the lyrical ability and maturity of rappers who are quite a bit older than him. Holliwood spent his early childhood in Houston, and then his family moved to South West Philadelphia, when he was in elementary school. Sometimes trouble would find him, and he dove into risky situations. Holliwood learned real quickly from the streets and his older relatives how to become street smart. Although, he would get into trouble, he is a bright student, and an intelligent all-around person. Holliwood knew he would not just settle to be average.
With a passion for a better life for him and his family that he shares with his brothers A-Boy and Yung Canon, he became part of 5-6 Famalia. They all share a unique talent in music. Their distinct styles blend perfectly in their music. Though many of 5-6 Famalia's recordings have been just A-Boy and Yung Canon; Holliwood is beginning to make his presence felt in a big way as well. Holliwood puts in a melting pot of his pain, aggression, sorrow, triumph, humor, and intelligence into his lyrics. Though he writes down some of his lyrics, he excels at freestyling, which is his preferred method of recording songs.
While he uses very little profanity in his music, his music still portrays a raw, gutter, realistic reflection of his life and his surroundings. While his quick flow stands out, he can switch it up flawlessly. While influenced by many artists, he particularly stated that DMX and Beanie Sigel are his biggest influences. He likes their honesty, their lyrical ability, and their delivery. In addition to rapping, Holliwood enjoys his other big passion in life, which is BMX bike riding.
Holliwood has started school at Penn State, following in his brothers’ footsteps, but with the success building for 5-6 Famalia, he is ready to balance a career in music.
